Channing Tatum: Pals mock my career

Channing Tatum: Pals mock my career

Channing Tatum's movie choices have given his friends a lot of "ammunition".

The Hollywood hunk has enjoyed a varied career, appearing in dance film Step Up, stripper movie Magic Mike and action release G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. He has also been named the sexiest man in the world by People magazine and his pals never let him live any of it down.
"You can't understand the amount of ammunition I have given my friends over the years. I mean, I did a Disney dance movie!" he laughed to the latest edition of UK magazine Elle. "If you want to know how creative your friends can be, get an action figure that has your face on it. The things they can do are horrible and amazing."
Channing might be teased about his time on the Step Up franchise, but it holds fond memories for the star. He met his wife Jenna Dewan on the films and they recently welcomed their first child into the world, a daughter called Everly.
The 33-year-old star is still getting his around the concept of fatherhood.
"At first I felt terrified, excited and unprepared. Jenna and I are very ambitious people, in our lives and our careers, but now this is happening it's made us focus on something else that is not us. It is really nice and refreshing to step outside of yourself for a moment and know what is important and know that it is not you for once," he explained.
Channing and Jenna met in 2006 and got married three years later. He is extremely careful not to take his wife for granted and has warned guys that romance isn't all about lavish displays.
"I try to be [romantic]," he said. "I mean, if you get something for someone at Christmas, it's expected. But if it's a Tuesday in the middle of the month and they come home to find you've cleaned the house and cooked dinner, that's nice. Guys, it's really not that hard."
